The CCC HQ Lounge
The living room is like a lodge cluttered with knickknacks. A large stone fireplace is the focus of the room. A shelf with various knickknacks and a three candle-holder almost like a Menorah sits above the fireplace. There are overstuffed easy chairs with
 wooden accents. The walls look like some kind of geometric or parquet pattern in either tile or wood. There's at least one painting, a group portrait of the CCC.

Bulletgirl
Bulletgirl is tall, with shoulder-length auburn hair and brown eyes. She's wearing a red polo shirt and yellow shorts. Her shiny bullet-shaped metal helmet has a small shield-shaped badge on the forehead. She has on red flight gloves, a broad black belt a
nd high black leather flight boots.
Mary Marvel
Mary Marvel is a cute, some might say beautiful, young woman with brown hair and blue eyes. She is also the world's mightiest girl. She wears a red dress trimmed with yellow, and with a yellow lightning bolt on her chest. She has a white cape with yellow 
trim that flaps in the air around her neck. Her legs are bare, but she wears yellow boots, just like Captain Marvel.
Phantom Eagle
You see before you a teenager in a blue aviator's helmet; red scarf; orange trousers and flight jacket with blue eagle on chest. He has a smile on his face and smiles and waves at you.
Spy Smasher
You see a man, his face a shadowy silhouette beneath an aviator's helmet with goggles, the goggles again serving as a mask beneath which his nose is straight as a wing's leading edge. He is wearing a bright green aviator's suit; his tunic is decorated wit
h a diamond-shaped chest emblem which matches his red cloak. A broad belt and military boots of the same shade of brown complete the costume.
Phantom Eagle says "Wow, this place looks keen."
Mary Marvel has arrived.
Phantom Eagle looks around
Bulletgirl says "Very nice."
Spy Smasher says "I'm impressed"
Phantom Eagle waves wide, smiles at everyone.
Phantom Eagle says "Hello."
Bulletgirl says "Hello folks, and welcome."
Phantom Eagle says "Nice to meet you all...really a great honor."
Phantom Eagle is obviously flustered at meeting such legends.
Bulletgirl smiles pleasantly.
Phantom Eagle says "Golly gee hello Mr. Bulletgirl."
Mary Marvel looks around the headquarters with an appreciative eye, "Wow. I wonder where Captain Marvel Junior is, though."
Phantom Eagle says "Out fighting that Nazi guy perhaps."
Spy Smasher glances around without comment.
Mary Marvel waves to Bulletgirl, "How are you, Bulletgirl. Didn't know you were holding down the fort alone."
Bulletgirl suppresses a laugh at the 'Mr. Bulletgirl'.
Phantom Eagle tries to not look too flustered.
Bulletgirl says "Pretty good, Mary. It's been a quiet night."
Mary Marvel wanders over to Bulletgirl and leans in close, "You going to handle the introductions?" she false-whispers to BG.
Bulletgirl says "If you like."
Bulletgirl says "Though, I assume everyone knows the Worlds Mightiest Girl, Mary."
Mary Marvel smiles and blushes slightly.
Phantom Eagle says "Oh yes, I read the stories of her and you too."
Spy Smasher gives a quick, almost imperceptible nod.
Phantom Eagle says "And seen the newsreels too.  They don't do either of you justice."
Bulletgirl says "Mary, this is the Spy Smasher. Spy Smasher, Mary Marvel."
Spy Smasher says "We've met."
Bulletgirl says "And this is..."
Bulletgirl she pauses, searching her memory for the Phantom Eagle's ID.
Phantom Eagle says "uh...I'm Eagle Ghost....I mean Phantom Eagle."
Phantom Eagle is still visibly flustered, though not quite as bad as at first..
Bulletgirl chuckles. "I see. This is the Phantom Eagle. I take it he's new to the mystery man game."
Phantom Eagle says "I made my own plane out of spare parts."
Bulletgirl says "Welcome to our HQ, Eagle. May I call you Eagle?"
Mary Marvel blinks, "Well, he's certainly resourceful enough for it."
Phantom Eagle says "Yes certainly Mrs. Bulletgirl."
Bulletgirl says "Spare parts? Really!? How clever. You must have quite a talent."
Bulletgirl says "Really, Bulletgirl is enough. You needn't call me Mrs."
Phantom Eagle says "Oh yes. thanks"
Spy Smasher crosses his arms, waiting for something to occur.
As if on cue, the assembled heroes hear a strange ... almost roaring sound.
Phantom Eagle thinks of his plane...how can I improve it a bit?
Mary Marvel looks around and races for a window. "What in the name of...?
Bulletgirl looks up.
Phantom Eagle looks around to see where the sound came from.
A large white sphere starts to appear in a corner of the room.
Time Retarder
You see a big white sphere.
Bulletgirl scans the room for the source of the noise.
Spy Smasher pulls out a large pistol from his cloak.
Phantom Eagle says "Can't be a ......."
From the side a sphere a door opens ... a man stumbles out.
Mark Swift
You see a fit, blond man, his face slightly bruised, who carries himself with an evident weariness. He is wearing a blood-stained white shirt, brown leather jacket and boots, and khaki pants.
Mary Marvel eeps as she notices the sphere. She steps back from the window and in front of the Phantom Eagle, not sure how well protected he is.
Phantom Eagle says "What the??!!???"
Bulletgirl eyes the sphere carefully.
Mark Swift says "Thank god I made it ... I was afraid my Time Retarder would have been too damaged in the battle and I would be stranded in the twenty-second century!"
Mary Marvel asks, "22nd Century?"
Spy Smasher says "Who are you?"
Bulletgirl steps forward.
Phantom Eagle gets closer to Mary Marvel, the strongest mortal girl.
Bulletgirl says "Time Retarder. Yes, who are you?"
Phantom Eagle says "Time Retarder...sounds like something from out of the pulps"
Mark Swift says "My name is Mark Swift ... I developed this device, which I call a Time Retarder, to travel to the past and the future, exploring and learning."
Phantom Eagle says "22nd century....it's a time machine like in that H.G. Wells book I read a while back?"
Bulletgirl says "And what are you doing here?"
Mary Marvel says "You don't look like a threat... hrm.. say, you mentioned a battle, Mr. Swift?"
Mark Swift nods to Phantom Eagle. "Something terrible is happening in the future ... something that needed the greatest heroes of our time to help defeat, for the safety of the future of the Earth."
Mary Marvel says "Oh! I don't like the sound of that."
Mark Swift says "I had encountered Lieutenant Jon Jarl of the Space Patrol, who was heading towards his vacation aboard the Space Shuttle X-9. We discovered a huge space tug is pulling Earth out of its orbit. The whole universe is changing around them as 
they leave Earth's orbit around the Sun! We attempted to stop the ship, but the X-9 was destroyed ... we must go back the future and attempt to save the Earth!"
Spy Smasher says "What is that?"
Mark Swift says "There is still hope ... before I left Jon Jarl told me to contact a scientific genius also known as "The Electronic Wizard". We programmed the Time Retarder to return to the coordinates where the man could be found."
Phantom Eagle says "Me? I'm just a teen that made a plane."
Bulletgirl says "Save the future? If you had..."
Bulletgirl says "The Electronic Wizard?"
Mark Swift looks around. "All of you are needed."
Spy Smasher says "Then we'd better find this wizard."
Mary Marvel nods.
Mark Swift looks at Bulletgirl. "If I had?"
Phantom Eagle says "Do any of you know any wizards...I don't"
Spy Smasher says "I've never heard of an Electronic Wizard."
Bulletgirl says "If you had all of time to find heroes, why come to a time of world war when we're already needed? But you answered my question before I finished it."
Mary Marvel thinks . o O (I don't think we have time to look for Ibis, Freddy or the rest of the Marvels.)
Bulletgirl says "Have you any idea how to locate this electrical Wizard?"
Mary Marvel says "Let's go find the Electronic Wizard then."
Spy Smasher says "We need more information."
Mark Swift says "Oh, I am afraid in my muddled presentation I have confused you. The Electronics Wizard is the man who can help us in the 22nd century. I came here ... because it is my home time period ... and because I know that this era is when many of 
you are at your peak."
Bulletgirl nods.
Phantom Eagle says "Never heard of him, unless you mean Alfred Graham Bell, or"
Spy Smasher says "Then we'd better leave. Time waits for no man"
Mark Swift says "Spy Smasher, I am sure the 'Electronic Wizard' can tell us all we need to know. Are you all with me?"
Mary Marvel says "Oh, why didn't Mark Swift says so then. Let's go save the world. Oh and um.. what about space protection. I don't think Spy Smasher or Phantom Eagle can travel in space unaided. Do you have that to spare where you're from?"
Bulletgirl says "Well, I guess so."
Mark Swift says "The Time Retarder can travel in space"
Mary Marvel says "Okay, well I'm with you.... hrm.. do we have time to recruit anybody else?"
Phantom Eagle says "Wow a real spaceship and time machine...and I thought making a plane was cool."
Mark Swift closes the door, and stands before a large hexagonal control deck in the center of the sphere.
Phantom Eagle says "Not what I expected."
Mark Swift fingers the controls ... rainbow colors start to flow around the sphere as the surrounding room starts to fade out.
Phantom Eagle looks for a place to sit down and strap himself in...like in an airplane.
Mary Marvel leans against the wall and looks out dreamily. "The future huh? I wonder if we can find out how long it took us to beat old Hitler."
Bulletgirl says "Oh, I'm not sure that would be a good idea, Mary."
Phantom Eagle says "Should we even know...I mean knowing the future is an awfully big thing"
It almost looks like you can see signs posted along the way ... 1944 ... 1945 ... it advances faster and faster ...
Spy Smasher chuckles, "I've never met a Ratzi who didn't have a glass jaw anyway."
Mary Marvel snickers at Spy Smasher's comment and looks to Bulletgirl, "I guess you're right. You too, Eagle. If we know the future we might change it."
Phantom Eagle says "Could we stop to see who wins the next World Series? on the way back?"
Bulletgirl smiles at the Phantom Eagle and shakes her head.
Eventually the colors slow ... you find yourselves floating above the Earth from space.
Mark Swift reaches into his utility belt and pulls out a hand-held communicator. It is a small black box with a gold mesh top. He flips open the top and there is a slight electronic whine. "This Radio Scillograph John Jarl told me was supplied by the Wiza
rd will allow me to contact our allies ... they should be providing transportation for us soon."
Phantom Eagle says "keen"
Suddenly, as if in response to the automatic signal, the area surrounding the Time Retarder becomes filled with a golden haze ... when it fades, you see yourself inside a large room.
Bulletgirl whistles.
Mark Swift says "For better or worse ... we're here"
Bulletgirl says "Wow! That was something."
Mary Marvel stands up and looks around in amazement. "Holy Moley!"
Mark Swift opens the door.
Solar Observatory Station
You stand in a massive mountaintop headquarters with gleaming surfaces accented by silver trim, and pale, polished floor tiles. Built into the far wall is the Remote Tele-Carrier: an elaborate television surveillance system that looks to be at least 30' b
y 30', through which one can observe world activities.

Captain Video
You see a man wearing a military uniform with a lightning bolt across the front of his jacket and a 'V' on the front of his cap. He has a heavy build and carries himself with an air of authority; nevertheless, in a slightly thick-featured face, his fierce
 intelligence is apparent in his narrowed eyes which assess all before them. His hair is prematurely grey, and swept back off his forehead.
Captain Venture
Standing before you is a dark-haired man in his mid-30s. He is dressed in a light blue bodysuit, with what looks like a red eye painted on the chest. He wears a set of orange pants to go with the bodysuit, and also has golden boots, belt, and gloves. The 
neck of his bodysuit is also golden. The bodysuit shows that he is in pretty good shape.
Thunder
You see a girl in her late teens, with chin-length, straight blond hair and a white headband that keeps the hair back. Her eyes are blue, she wears a skintight red bodysuit which ends mid-calf, with the sleeves falling short of her wrists. A gold lightnin
gbolt design is on the front of her body, and she wears a matching gold sash around her waist and gold slippers on her feet. Around her neck is a white, gold-trimmed cape.
Bulletgirl says "Where are we? When are we?"
Captain Video greets the newcomers. "Welcome to the 22nd century, heroes of legend."
Phantom Eagle says "Shouldn't you blank our minds or something so we don't accidentally take back the wrong knowledge, just leave a post hypnotic suggestion in case we're needed in the future again?"
Mark Swift says "Uh ... which one of you is the 'Electronics Wizard'?"
Bulletgirl looks from Thunder to Mary and back.
Captain Video says "That is I ... my name is Captain Video ... the appellation 'Wizard' was granted me by the tabloids, I'm afraid"
Thunder looks at Mary, not really noticing the others...
Captain Venture looks surprised at Mary Marvel. He looks from her to Thunder and back again.
Phantom Eagle waves.
Phantom Eagle says "Hi Mr. Wizard, how can we help?"
Bulletgirl shakes her head.
Captain Video nods to Phantom Eagle, "That shall be taken care of ... as for the problem at hand ... allow me."
Mary Marvel looks at Thunder herself, nodding at Captain Video absentmindedly.
Bulletgirl says "Actually, sir, we're here looking for your help."
Phantom Eagle says "So they'll have tabloids in the future"
Thunder snags Venture's hand for comfort...but that's the only sign you see of her feelings.
Captain Video walks over and activates the viewscreen.
Slowly a picture starts to form on the Remote Tele-Carrier. It is a giant space ship, over a mile long! And from its stern a long beam of some amazing radiation that seems to be *towing* Earth along, like a barge behind a tug.
Captain Venture squeezes Thunder's hand reassuringly.
Bulletgirl 's eyes go wide.
Phantom Eagle says "I read this in a bad sci fi mag."
Spy Smasher says "How are we supposed to stop that monstrosity?"
Mary Marvel looks up at the words from her comrades. She blinks.
Captain Video says "This is not scientifiction, lad. This is all too real."
Captain Venture says "If this was a bad sci fi magazine, it'd be a lot easier."
Mary Marvel says "Uh..." she says looking at Thunder, "You've got the full power of Sha... um a Marvel, right?"
Phantom Eagle says "I don't know....Mary marvel is the strongest...maybe she can punch it down."
Mark Swift says "I saw it before ... it's almost unimaginable"
Thunder blushes, "I have neither the invulnerability of Achilles or the speed of Mercury."
Mary Marvel says "And you tried stopping that ship right?"
Phantom Eagle says "Who's Sha? something I shouldn't know since I'm to young I suppose."
Bulletgirl steps next to the Eagle, "I think she's a successor to the Marvels we know, Eagle."
Mary Marvel shakes her head at Eagle, "No, it's just a word I can't say for reasons you may find out some day. Well, never let it be said that Mary Marvel was a quitter."
Captain Video nods soberly at Mary Marvel. "This is a last battle ... our present forces have been exhausted, which is why we needed to resort to such extreme measures ... Mark Swift provided the avenue."
Phantom Eagle says "Don't you have any ray guns like in the flash Gordon comic strip or one of those ray cannons Dr. Zarkov made?"
Mary Marvel hrms, "Well, still if you couldn't dent it we'll have to try something besides the frontal approach."
Captain Video says "We have weapons, lad."
Phantom Eagle says "How about focusing an knocking out that ray producer...it must be a machine...they always are in the sci fi mags."
Mary Marvel says "I've just got one more question before we start doing stuff. Who are the people pulling the Earth away?"
Spy Smasher says "Then let's get started now"
Mark Swift says "Jarl told me before I left that his computer readout said that the ship came from the planet Atoma"
Mary Marvel says "We have to put the Earth back first, don't we?"
Phantom Eagle says "I bet they're some of those icy things on the covers of the sci-fi mags I read ... they are always after Earth women for some reason."
Captain Video nods to Mary, "That can't be done until the ship is stopped."
Spy Smasher says "Is there something on Atoma that can stop the ship?"
Thunder says "We have to release Earth from the pull, first."
Bulletgirl says "Do you folk have a plan, Captain Venture?"
Phantom Eagle says "How about knocking out the ray generator first.  The armor on that spot has to be the weakest and if we can get inside and mess it up that'll stop their nefarious plans."
Mary Marvel sighs and cracks her knuckles, "Okay, well if have to put the raybeam outta commission first, I *think* I can move the Earth back where it goes with your Marvel's help and Bulletgirl's help."
Bulletgirl says "I'm glad you think I can contribute, Mary. I'll sure try."
Mary Marvel says "Spy Smasher, you think of anything we might be missing?"
Phantom Eagle says "I'll do what little I can"
Bulletgirl says "We'll need ships or space suits, won't we?"
Spy Smasher says "Only who is the actual ship controller?"
Captain Video points to the video picture on the screen. "Our sensors indicate there might be a weak spot ... there. Our intent is to take the Space Shuttle Galaxy and board her."
Mary Marvel says "Actually, Eagle, given your skills I'm hoping you aviators can join the war effort.. if they've got any ships available," she says as she looks to the future people. "Do you?"
Bulletgirl says "Exactly, Mary."
Phantom Eagle says "I'll try, don't know how different the new controls here are..."
Captain Video says "You are all needed ... though our boarding plans may not include on-site flight ..."
Captain Venture says "I can help you out with that."
Spy Smasher says "Then let's get moving. we've got evil to smash!"
Mark Swift looks to Captain Venture.
Phantom Eagle says "And to stop them taking the earth women."
Captain Video says "I agree ... follow me."
Captain Video and the heroes traverse the Observatory out to the docking bay, and board the shuttle.
Captain Video takes the pilot's seat. He turns to the Phantom Eagle. "Care to co-pilot?"
Thunder takes a seat next to Venture.
Mark Swift boards the shuttle somewhat uncertainly and straps himself in.
Bulletgirl takes a seat and straps in.
Phantom Eagle says "Gladly...I need all the experience I can get."
Bulletgirl says "You'll do fine, Phantom Eagle!"
Phantom Eagle sits down in the co-pilot's chair and straps himself in while watching the pilot.
Mark Swift thinks . o O (I wonder if I should even be here ... I'm more a scientist than a fighter ...)
Phantom Eagle says "I hope so... the Earth needs us all to succeed."
Spy Smasher sits down and returns to the silences that make him more mysterious.
Phantom Eagle continues watching the pilot trying to learn all the moves and controls he can.
Mary Marvel sits next to Bulletgirl, but still watches Thunder, wondering how things happened after the 20th Century.
The door closes automatically, and with a *hummmm* the shuttle takes off in an inertialess flight.
Thunder whispers to Venture, "The CCC is nothing I expected..."
Captain Venture sits next to Thunder, talking with her.
Captain Venture whispers back, "Me either."
The shuttle circle 'round the Earth, until you find yourself in full sight of the invading ship ... it looms above you ... impossibly big ....
Spy Smasher says "I hope Minute Man doesn't mind that I'm missing his meeting."
Thunder glances at Mary once.
Mark Swift shudders at the sight of the ship again.
Phantom Eagle says "I never thought anything that bit could fly."
Mary Marvel smiles, "Relax, Spy Smasher. We'll probably get back to our time at the same time we left."
Captain Video activates the shuttle's cloaking device.
Spy Smasher nods, "Maybe so. I'm not used to time traveling."
Phantom Eagle says "Great then, I won't miss the Captain Midnight radio show."
Thunder says "Science can accomplish much. But what matters is who controls the wonders created by it and their purpose."
Captain Venture says softly to Thunder, "You noticed the resemblance, too?"
Thunder says "I do....how else could I have the powers I do?"
Captain Video angles the shuttle in tightly to the large ship, almost skimming the surface. Eventually the shuttle latches on to the underside.
Bulletgirl leans into her harness as they land.
Phantom Eagle says "I can't believe how much the sci-fi mags got right."
Mary Marvel says "I'm sure they'll get something wrong. Maybe you'll write a story yourself someday... probably not about this but you know what I mean."
Captain Video activates the attack-boarding mechanism. Steel talons attack the large ship, plowing a hole through the hull, even as miracle plastic threads form an impromptu airlock.
Phantom Eagle says "I better not write about this.. the aliens could read the story and that would change time."
Captain Venture looks at Phantom. "And if it changed, how could you have written about it?
Thunder smiles and nudges Venture, "Don't give them a headache."
Captain Venture tries to look innocent. "Would I do something like that, dear?"
Phantom Eagle says "Why don't you still have aspirin here don't you?"
Captain Video unbuckles himself from the seat. "All right, a boarding thingie is secured, though security has doubtless been warned of our presence. Thunder, can you break through the passageway and scan the area?"
Mary Marvel says "Captain Video, are we ready? And what's your plan once we're inside?"
Bulletgirl unstraps and gets up with a bound as soon as they've come to rest.
Thunder says "Sure, sir."
Captain Video looks at Mary and snarls, "Make our way to the command center and end this."
Mark Swift says "Oh boy ...."
Phantom Eagle says "And get those Nazis... sorry, wrong era I guess, instinct"
Thunder enters the passageway.
Bulletgirl steps quickly to the air lock and stands to one side so the Marvels can pass, leaving a hole for the others to pass though.
Mary Marvel says "Okay.. I better go back up my distant cousin then. She said she wasn't bulletproof."
Spy Smasher pulls out his gun and steps into the passage.
Captain Video follows the Marvels, guns ready.
Bulletgirl follows the Captain.
Captain Venture draws his gun and follows everyone into the airlock.
Phantom Eagle follows behind them
Mark Swift brings up the rear!
The heroes find themselves in a dark, oddly medieval-looking hallway ... they hear the sound of jackboots running towards them.
Phantom Eagle finds a safe place since he has no gun and isn't bulletproof ... back near Spy Smasher perhaps.
Mary Marvel looks around, "Wow... that sound doesn't change much over the centuries."
Atomic Storm Troopers
Before you stands a troop of men, clad in what appears to be helmetless purple space-suits and carrying long tubular weapons with odd coils and wires coming out of them. At their head is Kommandant Garrer, a ferocious-looking man with black hair, beard an
d mustache.
Garrer says, "Bow, underlings! Bow to your new masters -- or suffer the consequences!"
Bulletgirl crouches slightly, ready to take off like a shot, as it were.
Spy Smasher says "Ratzis from space! Time to smash them good!"
Phantom Eagle says "Never you Nazi bastards...you'll not get our Earth women."
Captain Video says "Ha! We have the greatest heroes of all time to defeat you ... er, Ratzis!"
Garrer says, "You laugh! You think it is funny! Let's see if our Exon Rays amuse you as much!" He fires a ray blast which disintegrates a large hole in the side of the Space Shuttle Galaxy.
Mark Swift acks! and ducks the ray blast.
Garrer says, "Well? Do you still think this is a joke? We mean business! Kneel, primitives, before the Science Gestapo!"
Mary Marvel blinks, "Now see here. You play nice or you don't play at all!"
Phantom Eagle ducks as well.
Thunder ducks the blast, getting upset...
Captain Venture drops into a firing crouch.
Spy Smasher says "Enough talk! Let's smash evil!"
Garrer says, "Impudent brat! We'll make an example of you!" A Storm Trooper fires his ray at Mary Marvel. "Wha .. ? No effect?"
Bulletgirl whooshes down the corridor, hugging the wall, straight towards an alien menace.
Phantom Eagle says "I'll die before I kneel to anything other than the American flag!!!!"
Mary Marvel begins walking forward toward the troopers.
Mary Marvel says "I hope you guys have got excellent medical care."
Phantom Eagle stay near Spy Smasher since he may need the help and is nearest to him in power level.
Garrer says, "Right! To the attack! Destroy them, storm troopers of the atom! Our numbers and weapons must tell ... they are outnumbered!"
Captain Venture fires at the storm troopers.
Mary Marvel rushes forward to attempt to disarm storm troopers.
Bulletgirl tries to line it up so there's another behind her target.
Thunder tries to kick a gun out of a baddie's hands.
Captain Venture fires at the storm troopers, careful not to hit any teammates.
Captain Video reaches into his utility belt and pulls out his Cosmic Ray Vibrator and directs it at the Atomic Storm Troopers; it proceeds to shake the guns from the hands of his adversaries.
Mark Swift sees an advancing Atomic Storm Trooper and sort of ducks, hoping that the approaching villain will trip over him.
Mary Marvel rushes forward to attempt to disarm some storm troopers at high speed. "You master race goobers are all alike. You don't know when to quit!"
Phantom Eagle tries to find a Flash Gordon-type ray gun thingie to fire back at them or if there is none he tries to find any bits of shrapnel or objects he can throw at the space Nazis.
Spy Smasher fires his pistol at a storm trooper while charging towards the fray.
Several of the AST's follow behind Bulletgirl, firing their weapons at her. "Stop her! she must not reach the command center!" One of the AST's is brought down by friendly fire.
Another of the AST's is brought down by Captain Venture's laser blast; another is disarmed by Thunder.
Some of the AST's have their guns vibrated out of their hands by Captain Video; however a different-looking one with a greenish tint to his skin and pointed ears focuses a small black box at Captain Venture, which cause his Cosmic Ray Vibrator to go into 
feedback mode and explode.
One of the AST's trips over Mark Swift and drops his gun, which Phantom Eagle picks up and throws at one of the others. It bounces off his back to no effect, but he notices and advances menacingly on the lad.
Phantom Eagle says "Oh no.."
The AST's laugh as Spy Smasher's bullets bounce off their suits, and one of them charges at him.
Captain Video acgs! and throws his weapon from him as it explodes.
Bulletgirl swerves a little to be a worse target, but doesn't slow. She hurtles on toward the heart of the alien menace.
Some of the AST's are disarmed by Mary, so quickly that it's almost impossible to notice.
Mark Swift gets caught in the explosion, and knocked unconscious against the wall.
Thunder glares at the guy who shorted Video's device out...
Mary Marvel says "Hey! Your little stunt hurt Mr. Swift. I'll make you aliens say I'm sorry for that. Starting with the green guy."
Thunder punches the guy in the face with a right hook.
Mary Marvel says "Okay... um maybe he won't be awake by then."
Captain Venture fires at the AST approaching Phantom Eagle.
Captain Video reaches into his utility belt and pulls out his Thermoid Ejector; the gun shoots thermal currents, melting the Atomic Storm Trooper's rifles into slag.
Thunder stays silent, letting the others announce their intentions....
Mary Marvel races into the fray, laying about her at the storm troopers.
Phantom Eagle goes in behind Spy Smasher, still looking for a recognizable gun to pick up and use, trying to guard Spy Smasher's back.
Spy Smasher fakes a punch at an AST and attempts to kick his gun out of the AST's hand. His hands meanwhile try to grab the flying weapon if it works.
As volleys of Exon Rays follow Bulletgirl down the hallway, one of them hits the gravity helmet, short-circuiting the firing mechanism.
Bulletgirl says "Yeooooow!"
Thunder and Mary Marvel down their opponents.
Phantom Eagle says "Bulletgirl!!!"
Several of the AST's scream as their weapons become too hot to handle.
Phantom Eagle says "Take that you space Nazis from the future !!!!"
Thunder says "Marvel, can you speed to Bulletgirl and gave her a little protection?"
The AST approaching Phantom Eagle is downed by Captain Venture; however, Spy Smasher's attack proves futile and his opponent gets a choke hold.
Mary Marvel says "Sure thing... hold 'em here."
Garrer screams something unrecognisable in an alien language ... suddenly, the heroes find themselves hit by beams from the AST's hands, rendering them paralysed.
Captain Video urghs! fighting against the paralysis.
Mary Marvel tries to move, and keeps looking around her at her comrades.
Garrer says, "Ha! You weren't expecting to be bombarded by our special paralysis ray rings!"
Captain Venture struggles against the effects of the beams, trying to bring his weapon to bear on Garrer.
Thunder struggles as well, with the strengthany ways, Spy  to herself,ing a .
Phantom Eagle struggles using all his strength...that of a normal teen his age.
Mary Marvel looks forward, grunting unladylike in frustration.
Bulletgirl struggles to maintain her course with what momentum and control she has. She's got to hit somewhere. Make it count. If all else fails she just keeps her head down so the helmet will take the impact when she hits.
Two of the pursuing AST's catch up with the now-downed Bulletgirl.
Garrer sneers. "Take them to the command center ... show them the true futility of their actions. Let them meet the new ruler of their world!"
The Atomic Storm Troopers hoist up the various paralysed and unconscious heroes.
Thunder thinks to herself . o O (Sure...when we get free, we'll be where we wanted to be...)
The Atomic Storm Troopers walk into the Vultura's control room.
Vultura's control room
You stand in a massive mountaintop headquarters with gleaming surfaces accented by silver trim, and pale, polished floortiles. Before you on a raised dais is a throne, the top of which is emblazoned with the insignia of a hydrogen atom.

You see a man, tall, lean and high-shouldered, wearing a long green robe. Around his waist is a gold chain belt, and a long gold chains are brocaded into each sweeping sleeve. His black cloak, which ascends at the neck to define a high, wide collar which 
serves to halo his face, sweeps dramatically when he moves. His face is cruel with a close-shaven skull, magnetic eyes, and a long mustache and goatee.
Garrer says, "We have brought them here, sire. The last of the Video Rangers."
Vultura nods. "You have done well, my Atomic Storm Troopers."
Phantom Eagle thinks what's Video and what does it have to do with Texas Rangers????
Thunder sneers, "Vultura."
Captain Video says "I thought you had been defeated last time Vultura ... you never learn do you?"
Mary Marvel stays strangely quiet for once.
Captain Venture glares. "We should have known it was you."
Phantom Eagle says "You must be the new Hitler of this time."
Thunder says "This gothic medieval style fits you."
Phantom Eagle tries to spit in any baddie's eye.
Spy Smasher says "I don't think he's quite up to Hitler. Too short."
Mary Marvel giggles at Spy Smasher's comment despite herself.
Vultura smiles. "Hitler?  Doubtless some petty celebrity of your home planet."
Thunder says "In many ways, SpySmash."
Captain Venture says "Celebrity? You should read your history, Vultura."
Phantom Eagle says "He's like you, a petty tyrant who is already defeated."
Spy Smasher says "Yes, almost as petty as you. But a better speaker."
Vultura says, "And you expect me to follow your petty Terran politics? I shall take your planet to my home system and mine it for it's precious natural resources. Soon your politics will be rendered irrelevant."
Mark Swift thinks . o O (Vultura ... a descendent of ... no it couldn't be ...)
Phantom Eagle says "You will never have our Earth women!!!!!!"
Captain Video says "It will never happen ... there will always arise new champions to foil you."
Mary Marvel says "How can you possibly move a planet with a ship even this size?"
Bulletgirl smiles despite herself.
Mary Marvel looks at Vultura again, "Well? Or don't you know? Just like you master villains, always taking the credit for scientists"
Captain Video laughs. "You said that last time Vultura, and we always managed to defeat you before."
Vultura looks at Mary Marvel. "You fools are so provincial ... do you really think that because you have mastered space travel that there is no technology greater than yours? Even this so-called 'Electronic Wizard' is like a schoolchild by our standards."

Thunder says "Why can't you work out a trade agreement with our government like normal folks?"
Vultura says, "One does not make politics with barbarians. One takes what one needs."
Spy Smasher says "The only barbarian here is you Vultureface."
Garrer slaps Spy Smasher. "Do not mock the leader."
Thunder says "Only children think things are theirs if the possess it."
Spy Smasher says "I only mock the pathetic. So move away puppy-dog and go back to your master."
Bulletgirl smiles grimly and nods at Thunder's words.
Captain Venture says "Ooooh...that's big of you, Garrer. Hitting someone that can't fight back."
Phantom Eagle says "Why don't you loosen him and then try to slap him?"
Thunder struggles again but discreetly.
Phantom Eagle uses all his vast teen boy strength against the bonds.
Vultura says, "One disciplines children, Venture. One does not challenge them."
Bulletgirl  who was watching Thunder, sets her will at throwing off the paralysis, too.
Phantom Eagle says "Hitler wannabe...you'll never win."
Captain Venture says "I've only known Phantom Eagle a little bit...but I can already tell that you're more of a child than he is."
Mark Swift struggles futilely in the ring-generated paralysis ray.
Phantom Eagle says "Thanks, I think."
Vultura says, "You are boring me with your petty retorts .... Garrer, take them to the recycling center."
Thunder says "Release us...and I promise you a spanking you'll never forget."
Thunder says "How typical...destroy your 'toys' when you're bored with them."
Mary Marvel says "Vultura, I think we should be introduced. Hi, I'm Mary Marvel. The World's Mightiest Girl," she says, as she becomes a blur of motion removing rings from the fingers of all the guards in the room. She then smashes the handful of baubles,
 ending their paralyzing spell. "And they don't call me that for nothing. Let's get 'em!""
Vultura raises an eyebrow at Thunder, and starts to retort, when he is taken aback by Mary's actions.
Phantom Eagle says "Lets get 'em"
Bulletgirl tries her controls to see if she can take flight.
Spy Smasher leaps to his feet and roars, "All right team, let's show them not to mess with Earth!"
The Atomic Storm Troopers, stunned, fall back ... some of them try to leap forward to protect Vultura. He waves his hand dismissively. "I don't know what you are girl, but you shall never defeat my ultimate defender!" A pair of curtains in the back of the
 room part, and a large figure advances forward.
the Intruder
You see a rough-looking strongman of another world, about seven feet tall, with limbs like oak. He is dressed in a metallic, bronze-colored riveted leotard. In the center of his chest is a red circle, in which is an alien symbol in blue. He has black hair
 in a military cut, and a close-cropped beard and mustache.
Mary Marvel looks to Thunder, "You want first serving or seconds?"
Captain Video lands on the ground, assessing the situation, and takes a running leap at the Intruder ... he bounces off, and the brute bats him away easily.
Thunder says "Seconds is just fine."
Mark Swift tries to hide behind the throne.
Mary Marvel nods and flies towards the big Intruder, aiming to slam into him for all she's worth.
Spy Smasher leaps forward and tries to grab an AST's gun.
Captain Venture fires at another AST.
Phantom Eagle picks a guard near Spy Smasher to punch, helping him by distracting him with the punch.
The Intruder is knocked backwards a step, but grabs Mary and throws her off.
The AST's wrestles Spy Smasher and Phantom Eagle down ... another one is knocked out by Captain Venture though.
Mary Marvel gets to her feet and goes at it again, this time trying to lift the big lug. "Thunder, help me lift this brute."
Garrer approaches the grounded Bulletgirl. "I will enjoy capturing you, little one."
Thunder says "Sure..."
Phantom Eagle tries to punch as he goes down.
Phantom Eagle says "oof."
Thunder assists Mary Marvel.
Captain Venture fires at Garrer, trying to cover Bulletgirl.
An AST picks up Phantom Eagle and throws him at Spy Smasher.
Spy Smasher tries to draw a knife and slice at the AST's wires.
Phantom Eagle says "Watch out..."
Bulletgirl kicks at her attacker's knees, still trying to get the controls to fire.
Phantom Eagle tries to dodge in the air to miss SS.
Garrer urghs with pain at Captain Venture's blast. Another AST fires at Venture, knocking the laser from his hand.
Captain Venture says "Arrrgh!"
The Intruder slaps at Thunder ... her lack of invulnerability shows as the impact draws blood, bruising her face.
Captain Venture says "Cece!"
The AST shouts in pain as Spy Smasher cuts at his bare wrist ... before the latter is knocked down by the flying Phantom Eagle.
Thunder says "I'm fine!"
Phantom Eagle says "ooof,"
Phantom Eagle says "uhg"
Garrer grabs Bulletgirl and picks her up by the arms. "You gave my men quite a merry little chase there."
Spy Smasher args and tries to scramble to his feet and reattack the AST.
Bulletgirl brings up her knee in a kick that is just off panel.
Mark Swift jumps out from behind the throne and lands on Garrer's back, covering his eyes.
Garrer is shocked by the duel assault and drops Bulletgirl.
Captain Venture grabs his gun and fires at the Intruder.
Thunder picks up a piece of metal and flings it into the Intruder's forehead, David and Goliath style.
Phantom Eagle tries to get to his feet to help Spy Smasher by attacking the same person he is.
The Intruder's chest deflects Venture's blast, which does however knock out some of the AST's via ricochet.
The Intruder steps back, grunting in pain ... a projectile flung with the strength of Hercules still packs quite a bit of force. He decides to make a run for Thunder.
Bulletgirl takes time out from trying to get the controls firing to throw a punch at Garrer's jaw.
Captain Venture switches his aim to Vultura, who has been ignored until now.
One of the remaining AST's wrestles with both Spy Smasher and Phantom Eagle ... slowly numbers start to tell.
Spy Smasher swings his knife at another exposed area of the AST.
Thunder runs forwards as if to meet him and then darts to the left.
Mary Marvel tries to help out in any way she can.
One of the AST's leaps in front of the laser ray, protecting his master ... Venture strikes him down. Another AST lunges at Venture's arm, grabbing his remaining laser gin and tossing into the recycling unit. "Ha!"
Phantom Eagle keeps attacking the same one as SS.
The Intruder catches Thunder, lacking the speed of Mercury as she is, but he gets blindsided by Mary Marvel.
The AST finally goes down under Spy Smasher's and Phantom Eagle's attack.
Spy Smasher picks up the AST's gun and fires it at Vultura.
Thunder hopes the wisdom of Solomon was help...but it's a weak Solomon I guess :-)
Captain Venture grabs the AST and activates his levitation belt, and tries to shove off the AST while he's surprised.
While she's so close, Thunder take the opportunity to kick the groin area with her Hercules strength :-)
Phantom Eagle looks for a gun or something to shoot at the same guys as SS or throw.
The gun Spy Smasher picked up strangely fails to fire at Vultura. The latter sneers. "Do you really think I would allow myself to be harmed by my own men's weapons?"
Mary Marvel slams both fists down on Intruder's arm to try and free Thunder.
The AST is thrown to the ceiling by Venture, conking his head.
The Intruder rarghs in pain, releasing Thunder.
Thunder says "Thank you, Marvel."
Spy Smasher smiles and pulls out his own pistol.
Bulletgirl gives one last try at flight.
Mary Marvel looks to Thunder, "Okay, we know he's got a weakness. High-low. I'm high."
Captain Venture returns to the ground after dispatching the AST, and looks around for a loose laser pistol to grab.
Mary Marvel says "You're welcome but don't let up yet. We've got him on the ropes."
Thunder grins as she hits low, as directed.
Vultura sneers at Spy Smasher. "How primitive."
Mary Marvel flies around the room to build up speed and attempts to slam both hands into Intruder's face.
Bulletgirl takes off, and rockets straight at the Intruder's midsection.
The Intruder falls to the triple whammy.
Bulletgirl says "1, 2.... 3!"
Phantom Eagle says "Show 'em"
Vultura says, "No ... it's impossible!"
Phantom Eagle says "Evildoers never win in the end."
Bulletgirl says "That, my dear Vulture, is what they ALL say!"
Mary Marvel smiles and seems about to flash a Victory sign. "With teamwork, nothing is impossible!"
Thunder says "Some would say towing the Earth was impossible, Vura."
Captain Video slowly comes to. "Very possible ... downright inevitable I should say."
Spy Smasher fires his pistol at Vultura, "Then eat hot lead!"
Phantom Eagle guards SS from any sneak attacks.
Thunder goes to Video's side, "Are you ok, sir?"
Vultura is caught in the throat by Spy Smasher's bullet, and goes down.
The one or two remaining AST's retreats down the hallway.
Captain Venture checks on Video with Thunder.
Mark Swift says "Is that it? It's really over?"
Bulletgirl whirs around after the green fellow.
Mary Marvel says "Who's still hurt? Mr. Swift, are you okay?"
Captain Video stands. "I'm fine ..." he walks over to examine the corpse.
Spy Smasher blows the smoke from his gun, "Nothing better than an old lead pill for smashing evil."
Mark Swift nods, "Yes, Mary Marvel, I'm okay. This just isn't really my sort of adventure."
Captain Video hmms.
Thunder says "Maybe we should burn his ashes and keep them as a trophy this time..."
Captain Video pulls off Vultura's head.
Captain Venture starts in surprise. "A robot?"
Mary Marvel looks away as Video does this.
Mary Marvel says "Huh? A robot?"
Bulletgirl winces.
Phantom Eagle looks around for any more baddies.
Captain Video holds it up. "Yes ... another of Vultura's robots. I doubt he was ever even aboard ship."
Thunder says "Typical...Vura was never one to get his own hands dirty."
Mark Swift says "Uh ... Captain ... uh ... the Earth?"
Mary Marvel says "Some villains just don't think. Why get his bodyguards all beat up on principles."
Spy Smasher says "What a pathetic little coward."
Bulletgirl lets out her breath, hearing it was a robot. She was afraid the future was dark, grim and gritty.
Captain Video nods. "If I can grasp the layout here ... doubtless the command center would be near the throne."
Phantom Eagle says "Could just be a part of his bodyguard, not the whole thing, just a small number."
Spy Smasher says "Cowards will happily sacrifice all their followers if it keeps them safe."
Mary Marvel says "Yeah, let's put the Earth back and maybe you can figure out a way to make sure he can't do it again."
Captain Video narrows his eyes as 'the Electronic Wizard' works to interpret the control mechanisms.
Phantom Eagle says "Can you do anything Mr. Wizard?"
Captain Venture looks around, making sure no reinforcements show up.
Captain Video says "Yes ... I think it's within my grasp ... there!"
Bulletgirl slowly orbits the room, hesitant to stop lest she not be able to take off if more trouble shows.
The ship slows to a stop, and starts to reverse course.
Phantom Eagle continues to keep watch.
Mary Marvel joins the Eagle on watch. "You sure hold up your end out there. I wonder what you could do with a plane."
Captain Video smiles. "By the time we get back to the Earth's proper orbit, I will be able to turn off the ray with minimum damage ... and then we can have Garrer and his men arrested and this ship taken apart."
Thunder says "We should send the CCC back too, sir."
Mary Marvel blinks, "CCC?" She smiles up at Bulletgirl.
Mark Swift grins and picks up one of the fallen guns. "And I'll be more than happy to stick around for a bit in this era help you mop up the remaining Storm Troopers."
Spy Smasher says "Thunder can we tell you a secret?"
Phantom Eagle says "How about the stuff we saw, isn't out knowledge dangerous to your past, we may change it."
Mary Marvel says "You're two centuries worth of famous, Bulletgirl. Way to go."
Captain Venture looks at Spy Smasher upon hearing this.
Thunder says "Um, Sure, SpySmash."
Spy Smasher says "Only Bulletgirl here is in the CCC. The rest of us are not members."
Bulletgirl chuckles softly as she orbits.
Spy Smasher says "I rarely work with partners in fact."
Captain Video nods, "Yes ... Captain Venture, can you take the shuttle back and return these good folks to their own era? We will manage here until you return."
Phantom Eagle says "I never do myself either."
Bulletgirl says "Say, Captain. Any chance you can repair my helmet?"
Captain Venture says "No problem, sir."
Mary Marvel smiles and nods, "We were just visiting, but my friend Captain Marvel Jr. is a member, but he wasn't able to come."
Spy Smasher says "I was waiting to get some information from Minute Man regarding a new spy ring."
Thunder says "I apologize...I never studied your period that closely."
Captain Venture says "Right this way, people. And thanks for your help. None of this would have worked without you."
Phantom Eagle says "It's a dark time."
Mary Marvel thinks . o O ( Wait till I tell him all the fun he missed, being able to smash Nazis without any reprisals. He might have got some frustration out. )
Spy Smasher waves the apologies off, "Just thought you'd like to know. It was amusing to us."
Thunder says "Filled with people who had true patriotism..."
Bulletgirl follows the Captain.
Phantom Eagle says "I thought I would be forgotten"
Captain Video smiles at Bulletgirl. "Very possibly, although I think that is best done in your own era ... Thunder and I have a lot to manage and it is best that you heroes get back to the 20th c before you learn anything that could be harmful and effect 
your future."
Bulletgirl says "Very good, Captain. Thank you."
Mark Swift says "Oh yeah ... uh I guess I do have to work the Time Retarder don't I?"
Mary Marvel nods and waves. She follows Captain Venture and the others.
Mark Swift follows Captain Venture on his way back to the shuttle.
Phantom Eagle says "I could try if you're too injured to."
Captain Venture smiles. "It would be greatly appreciated."
